San Antonio

Since I'll be spending the next few days in San Antonio, and blogging may be light, a little San Antonio-related reading for your weekend, from the latest Journal of the West: "Pablo Cruz and El Regidor: The Emergence of a Bicultural Identity in San Antonio, 1888-1910" (I happen to know the author.)

Nope. One of uses of "since" is as an adverb meaning "inasmuch as," or "as a result of the fact that," so, Insamuch as I'll be spending the next few days in . . .

Teacher drops mad skillz back . . .

I am out the door for SA in the next five minutes.

Rich --
Thunderstick and I were talking earlier and we really have no idea what a win like that means. It's Houston, after all. Now granted, it's a Houston team that beat Jacksonville twice this season, but Houston nonetheless. Barring something crazy, the Pats are playing on that first weekend at home against a Wild Card team, but I'd like to see them win out in any case.
Now I am hoping your boys can win tonight against those damned Colts. Who knows -- maybe we'll get a Bengals-Pats collision course in the postseason.

I was most shocked with Cinci's gutlessness -- I counted at least three times when they punted on fourth down when they should have gone for it. If you are in a track meet, you are not going to win by jogging. I was shocked by how it looked like they rolled over.
