An Innovative Approach to USA Hoops

One of my favorite writers, Chuck Klosterman, has an intriguing proposal for USA Basketball that he laid out over at ESPN.com a couple of weeks ago. Here is the gist: Rather than use professionals to try to win in international competition, he argues that the United States should try that vast number of guys who do not want to or cannot qualify to play in college but who are not yet able to try to turn professional. It is a provocative idea and one I would love to see the solons at the head of our national basketball program consider.
