"Too Hot to Handle"

The Boston Globe Magazine has a lengthy, provocative article that carries with it a stumper: "From date rape to racism to gay rights, America's universities have long provided a forum for openly debating our most divisive and controversial issues. so why can't they talk rationally about Israel?" I'm not certain the article answers its own question, but it certainly goes a long way in showing the divisiveness of the issue on campuses. In the last few years I have certainly seen up close (as have readers of my blogs and some of my articles) the inability of most people to have a reasonable discussion on this topic.
