Yeay Me!
I just got a brief mention over at Lee Siegel's blog "On Culture" at The New Republic because, like George Costanza, I won a contest. Well, almost. Damned semi-colons.

And that is why I don't use semicolons very often; I don't really understand them.
Congrats--what do you win (and don't say "respect" because that's not an actual prize for winning a contest.)
I know how to use them and I used the one properly, but he did say that he "frowned upon" semi-colon use for the purpose of the contest.
Oh -- if not respect, then how about "love"? Envy?
Well I know you didn't win either of those. The least they could do is give you a gift card to Applebee's or something.
I hate semicolons. Seriously. They should be outlawed. Seriously.
I disagree; absolutely.
