Gore in 2008 Redux

Scott Lehigh of The Boston Globe speculates on the renewed whisperings that Al Gore might eventually announce a run for the Democratic nomination in 2008. Dcat prodigal son, Oxford Richard, has long advocated Gore's candidacy as you can plainly see here, here and

If Gore wins the nomination I simply cannot see a Gore-Obama ticket losing. Now granted, Gore has stolen defeat from the jaws of victory before, in a way, but if he wins what promises to be a brutal primary season, and if Obama were to accept the second slot, the Dems will get what they wished for.

How wonderful would that be? If that is the case, I'd consider volunteering for their ticket.

DemCit --
You have to think it would be a powerhouse ticket, to be sure. And of course it would set up an eventual Obama presidency if the Gore years proved a success. Obviously if Obama wins on his own merits in 2008 that changes the dynamic entirely.

Cheers --
