The Early Polls

Over at WaPo's Fix Chris Cilizza provides some insightful parsing of the recent polls on the 2008 contenders. I suppose I fall into that category of people who will feign indignance at the encroaching campaign while paying more attention than I'd like while throughly being fascinated by the whole sordid spectacle. These numbers mean little -- as Cilizza points out, they are largely a function of name recognition. Still, it seems to me that we already have a pretty good sense of who most of the big names will be from here on out.

Brave call, Good lib. I don't know if he will be able to find the wattage with Obama and Hillary, but I could certainly get behind Edwards were he to win.
