It's almost impossible to block it out of my mind. *&$%#&!^#$ is right.
This is my attempt at sweet lemon rationalization: Yes, it is an absolute pisser that we are not getting Oden or Durant. But according to all of the experts this is an incredibly deep draft. If that is the case, there ought to be someone halfway decent at the #5 slot. We need to get one of those decent guys. We need AJ to continue to step up, and we need Pierce to stay healthy. If that happens, I think we are ok.
But yeah, it sucks.

Dude I assume we just stop talking about it altogether. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Ainge pushed to get Josh McRoberts with that #5 pick. I suppose I just can't get over the fact that this history books won't read Russell, Parish, Oden...
Greg Oden's not walking through that door. Kevin Durant is not walking through that door. All of mthe negativity in this room sucks and it stinks and it sucks.

Is that from that infamous Pitino interview years ago? Hilarious man, I'm dying over here. Well played. I was planning to post another comment on this thread because last night I met the Celtic fan who is more bummed out than the both of us combined right now: while walking around Speed Street I ran into a guy who had an authentic, Celtic Green home jersey, with a customized name plate on the back that read "ODEN." I didn't have the heart to ask him about it, plus he was having trouble standing.
Yup. That's from that Pitino news conference that pretty much sealed his status as a joke unable to get it done in Boston.
Got to feel for that fool in the Oden jersey, but seriously, man -- what the hell was he thinking plopping down $175 or so before the lottery even came down? I realize that hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and that hope is the thing with feathers, but good od, man -- you mess with the bull, you get the horns!
