Rock & Roll Landmarks

The Guardian (the consecutive posts from this source is, I promise, wholly coincidental) has a travel article on the "Top Ten Rock & Roll Landmarks in the US." My personal list would probably include more venues, such as First Avenue in Minneapolis, the 9:30 Club in DC, Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina, the late, great CBGB's (in limbo today) in NYC, and the like. And of course we all have our personal landmarks (TT The Bear's in Cambridge, where I saw Paul Westerberg in a secret concert in 1993). Feel free to add your own suggestions.

Anon --
Lists like this definitely fuel my already always-humming travel jones. I do think the "Riot" House is probably accurately listed at #1. Just about every decadent tour has passed through its walls and thus that hotel has probably seen more craziness per square foot than anyplace in the world.
