Really? I'm a civil rights and anti-apartheid historian, supporter of a Palestinian state if it can be done right, and that's the best you can do, simply because I oppose the human shield approach that those who allegedly care about Palestinians have decided to take on for themselves? Your contributions here have become more and more shrill, Mr. Pettit even as they have become less and less worthwhile. After all, why bother engaging in a civil debate when you know that intellectually you are going to get your ass stomped. Better to hit and run with inanities than engage, I suppose. Never mind that I did not actually DRAW the cartoon. that sort of subtlety would be far too much for someone like Pettit, who prefers his overwrought sense of emotionally charged moral sanctimony to the hard work of engagement. So tell me Chris -- are there Palestinian "soldiers" not hiding behind civilians? Or are facts and evidence just too complex an entity for your probing mind to grasp?
Mastering that whole reading to the bottom of the post concept is hard, I understand, "Some Burnout," but keep working at it. It might help not to click on the "post a comment" link until your eyes have actually absorbed everything up to that point. I'm afraid I'll have to charge for reading lessons beyond that. It's not my job description to deal with special ed.
Were you a more clever reader, I'd be curious why you are "blam(ing)" Klinghoffer, who also did not draw the cartoon, but you are not, so hopefully you'll drag your knuckles and confuedly furrowed ridged brow over to her site and not read posts fully to your heart's content.
Who is this "Ed" of whom you speak? Why is he "special"? Is one of the leaders of the NEOCON Zionist agenda that you so slavishly follow?
If you only understood that you are the creature of your own prejudices and non-objective bigoted, nationalistic view of the world then you would understand how wrong you are and how much you should bask in the glowing golden light of my brilliant OBJECTIVE and PEACEFUL view of the world and all the interactions of its peoples. You Likudnik lackey PIGDOG.
But on the plus side, I'm hopelessly partisan and a bigot, according to one of the ninnies who regularly weighs in from the mount. So I've got that going for me. Which is nice.
Thanks. I notice that my critics have posted no substantive commentary -- no refutations of fact or interpretation, no denial that the modus operendi of those who purport to fight for the palestinian people, who deserve better, hide behind civilians to do so, and that they do so intentionally, to double the propoganda value of their actions.

So can you tell us WHERE the cartoon came from? Huh?
Nevermind, Judith Apter Klinghoffer is obviously to blame.

I was just so shocked to see this kind of cartoon on this website. Sorry for the mistake.
