George W. Bush, the T.R. of Today?

Tom has a fine article at Doublethink. I believe that he flatters Bush far too much with the TR comparison, but this long-awaited piece is certainly worth the wait. Of course it also belongs in a newspaper or at one of the major opinion journals, but we've covered that ground a great deal here at dcat.
